Chitralekha

                                Chitralekha
                                   Synopsis

Shwetank asks “and Sin!”
The Sage Ratnamber seemed to be awakened from a deep sleep. He observed shwetank keenly “sin? Very difficult question my child!, but then it’s obvious too  . You ask what is sin!”Ratnamber looked for a moment at the noisy Patliputra, whose skyscraping monuments were still visible in dim light of setting Sun, Yes,I too have tried to define sin many a times, but was always a failure. What is sin? And where it resides? Is a very difficult question, which I have not been able to solve till date. The problem which I could not solve ffter constant effort and even after stepping deep in ocean of experience, how can I make you understand that?
Ratnamber paused and then said “but Shwetank if you wish to understand Sin, then you will have to search it in the world” If you are ready for it, then it’s possible, you may know what Sin is?”
Shwetank bowed in front of Ratnamber and said “I present myself”
“And maybe you too would like to search the sin? “ Ratnamber looked at Vishaldev.
Vishaldev bowing his head in front of Ratnamber said “Sage your inference is right”
Ratnamber’s face shone with happiness” But before I leave you to hobble in the world it is necessary to make you aware of the situation. There are two gentlemen in this town, with whom I have proper acquaintance, and to fulfill this goal of yours you may need their help.” One is the yogi and the other is the bhogi, yogi’s name is Kumargiri and bhogi is Beejgupt. You both will have to flow together with their life sources.
Both the disciples answered in chorus “it is accepted”
“Vishaldev! You are a Brahmin and you have fascination for meditation and worship, therefore it would be better you become disciple of Kumargiri.  And Shwetank you are a warrior, you are fascinated by world, therefore you will have to serve Beejgupt.
Again both the disciples answered in chorus “it is accepted”.
“Your ways are decided” and now it’s me. You both don’t worry about me. You gain experience and I would meditate. You both meet me after one year at the same place. And then again we will walk on the decided journey of our’s.
“But remember one thing. I am sending you to know the things which cannot been known in scriptures but only by experience. But be attentive that you don’t get lost in this process of gaining experience. You would flow with the real waves of this world; see that you don’t get drowned.”
Both Shwetank and Vishaldev looked at each other.
Ratnamber paused for a moment and then started “let me introduce you to the situation in which you are going to live, Kumargiri is a yogi and he has litigated that he has overcome all the worldly desires. He is disillusioned from the world, and according to his sayings, he has know the pleasure too. He is powerful and majestic, he has physical and mental strength both”. As people say he has enchanted the affection. Kumargiri is a young man, intermix of youth and detachment has given him a vision. World is his means and heaven his goal. Vishaldev! The same Kumargiri would be your teacher now.
And Shwetank! Beejgupt is bhogi, his heart is filled with pleasures of youth and eyes are red with intoxication. Luxury dances in his tall towers, and all the pleasures of life lie in his bejeweled wine glass. He plays in the thrilling grandeur and jubilance of life. He has limitless wealth. He is handsome and in his heart lays all the desires of world. The drunken sway on his doorstep and court is all abuzz with erotic dances of dancers aroused by their beauty. He is an atheist and maybe he never thought even of God. He is not worried about heaven or hell. Revelry of life is his only concern. You would have to serve the same Beejgupt. Shwetank! Is it acceptable?”
Mahaprabhu your order is supreme .Shwetank wanted to see this unimaginable magnificence.
And Vishaldev is it acceptable to you?
Mahaprabhu your order is supreme” Vishaldev wanted to feel the strength of youth mixed with detachment for one time.
“Then lets abide by our goals” Ratnamber stands.
Next day the hut was abandoned. Mahaprabhu was in his arid zone of mediation and disciples traveled amidst the world.
